Christmas Day (Orthodox)

7 January 2020 all-day

St Nicholas

Many Orthodox Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ annually on or about January 7th (the Orthodox in Armenia celebrate on January 6th). The switching of different countries from the Julian to Gregorian calendar meant that days were dropped. Most Orthodox churches decided to keep the original Julian calendar date for their religious celebrations.

The lead-up to Christmas is a busy time for most, and posting gift guides, favourite recipes or your family’s Christmas traditions are all possible social media post suggestions. You can also ask your social media following to post their pictures with Santa or share Christmas recipes or traditions they follow.
